About us Celebrity Constellation

Celebrity Constellation entered service in 2002 as the fourth Millennium-class vessel built at Chantiers de l'Atlantique in Saint-Nazaire. It belongs to an earlier generation than the Solstice and Edge ships, with a published double-occupancy figure of 2184 rather than the much larger capacities of recent newbuilds. IMO 9192399 identifies this individual ship. Current operator and technical references agree on 90940 gross tons.

Its April 2024 work is particularly well documented by the companies that carried it out. MAKINEN describes converting twelve family cabins into suites, updating the lounge and expanding and refurbishing the suite restaurant. Cruise Trading Services separately records main-dining-room finishes, Oceanview Cafe work and replacement pool-deck whirlpools. These are concrete completed projects. They do not justify repeating every feature of an earlier fleet-wide transformation announcement as though all of it had been built here.

The Retreat Lounge and Luminae are relevant to the suite decision, while Blu is associated with AquaClass. Converting an existing room category into suites does not necessarily add the same number of rooms to the ship. It also does not establish the current whole-ship inventory by arithmetic. Check the category and actual cabin layout instead of judging an ordinary balcony by photographs of an aft suite.

For an evening outside, the Rooftop Terrace is a different setting from Reflections Lounge or Rendezvous Lounge indoors. The operator's current deck description identifies the terrace for outdoor films and the lounge for dancing. Tuscan Grille and Sushi on Five offer further dining choices alongside the main restaurant. The practical comparison is how those spaces fit an itinerary and a traveller's preferred evening, with reservations and charges checked for the sailing.

Overall length is recorded as 294 metres from individual technical particulars, consistent with the operator's rounded 965 feet. Width remains unresolved because the operator's approximately 32.2 metres and a technical database's 37.4 metres use incompatible entries. Current room, crew and maximum-guest counts also conflict with other inventories, so those fields remain open. Eleven guest decks and 24 knots cruising speed are not automatically total decks and maximum speed. The latest completed renewal is 2024, not an unverified completion of the old 2020 plan.
