About us Celebrity Infinity
Celebrity Infinity began passenger service in 2001 as the second Millennium-class ship from Chantiers de l'Atlantique in Saint-Nazaire. It is identified by IMO 9189421. The present operator lists 90940 gross tons and 2170 guests, with the individual operator factsheet identifying that guest figure as double occupancy. Those numbers make a more useful starting point than applying the capacities of the newer Edge fleet to every Celebrity vessel.
Infinity's 2024 changes concentrated on parts of the suite experience. The operator's March announcement confirms an updated Retreat Lounge, formerly Michael's Club, and an expanded Luminae restaurant. Sunset Suites provided another aft-facing accommodation choice. Work accounts from the outfitters corroborate the lounge and premium-space projects. The named suite experience is therefore tied to actual changes, while access still depends on the accommodation reserved.
A later Marseille drydock in January 2026 concerned routine technical work, maintenance, certification and surveys. The contemporary report records the ship returning to guests on 11 January. This is distinct from the 2024 hotel changes and does not establish another comprehensive replacement of every public room. A recent maintenance year should be read alongside its documented scope when comparing the condition and facilities of older ships.
The current dining description includes Tuscan Grille, Sushi on Five and the animated Le Petit Chef experience. The Rooftop Terrace offers an outdoor alternative to indoor lounges and theatre entertainment. Choose between a meal built around a presentation, a conventional dinner and time outside according to your preferred evening. An activity or restaurant name does not by itself establish that reservations, drinks or specialty meals are included in the base fare.
AquaClass and suite benefits should be checked separately: Blu and Luminae serve different eligible guests. Current accommodation references support 1085 rooms, rather than an inventory copied from Constellation. Technical particulars give 294 metres overall length and 32.2 metres breadth. A historical NTSB machinery account identifies Mermaid propulsion units, so they are not relabelled ABB Azipod merely because another Celebrity ship uses that brand. The complete current machinery field remains unresolved. Maximum guests, current crew, total decks and maximum speed also stay open where the available definitions or inventories conflict.
