About us Celebrity Equinox

Celebrity Equinox entered service in 2009 as the second Solstice-class ship from Meyer Werft in Papenburg. Its real-grass Lawn Club provides an outdoor area that differs from the conventional pool deck. The atrium and panoramic lifts form another recognisable part of the original design. It remains an individual vessel, identified by IMO 9372456; the larger Reflection and later Edge ships should not supply its technical specifications.

The ship's Celebrity Revolution transformation was completed in 2019. The current corporate description records The Retreat's suite lounge and sundeck, revised bedding and changes to gathering places. Gastrobar became Craft Social, which combines drinks and casual food in a social setting. These documented changes matter more for a present-day comparison than a launch-era list of room names. The later recorded yard renewal in 2024 is a separate event and does not imply that the whole 2019 transformation happened again.

Le Petit Chef uses a projected presentation at the table as part of dinner. It is a different choice from the main dining room, an ordinary drink at a bar or time outside on the lawn. The operator also lists Slush for frozen drinks. Plan those experiences around the desired pace of the voyage and the actual booking conditions. A venue appearing on a ship page does not make every item or experience part of the basic fare.

AquaClass dining at Blu and suite dining at Luminae depend on accommodation entitlements. The Retreat designation should therefore be considered alongside room category, rather than used as a description of the entire ship. Travellers who prefer open public spaces can still compare the lawn, pool settings and other bars without assuming that private suite areas are available with any cabin.

The individual operator factsheet distinguishes 2852 double-occupancy guests from 3148 maximum guests. Current published gross tonnage is 121878. Builder dimensions are 317.2 metres overall and 36.8 metres moulded breadth, corroborated by technical particulars. A captain's ABB interview confirms Azipod propulsion on Equinox. Current room and crew inventories are left unresolved where other references differ, and guest decks are not substituted for a verified total. A corporate webpage's 2020 maiden-voyage date is rejected in favour of the builder and individual factsheet confirming 2009.
