About us Celebrity Eclipse

Celebrity Eclipse joined the fleet in 2010, the third Solstice-class vessel built by Meyer Werft in Papenburg. It has a real-grass Lawn Club and a tall interior atrium with panoramic lifts. Those two settings offer contrasting ways to spend a sea day: outdoors with sea views or inside near the ship's public rooms. Its identity is IMO 9404314, and present operator and technical references agree on 121878 gross tons.

Hot Glass classes are a particularly useful feature to consider when comparing onboard activities. They offer an alternative to watching a theatre performance or sitting by a pool. The operator also lists family activities and theatrical entertainment. Check the voyage programme for sessions and arrangements; the existence of an activity does not establish its daily frequency or inclusion in every fare.

Dining and accommodation categories require separate choices. AquaClass includes dining at Blu, while The Retreat has its own restaurant and lounge arrangements. A standard balcony reservation does not automatically carry those category benefits. Passport Bar, Martini Bar and World Class Bar provide different social settings. Someone planning quieter evenings can compare a smaller gathering place with the main Eclipse Theatre rather than choosing solely by the number of venues.

The latest recorded refurbishment is 2025. The operator's dated guest letter confirms that the first Amsterdam departure after the yard work moved from 27 to 28 April because of a delay. That is stronger evidence for the departure date than reports repeating the original schedule. Older corporate information still describes a 2015 enhancement, and a historical factsheet's proposed 2020 modernisation is a plan rather than proof of completion.

Technical comparison uses the builder's 317.2 metres overall and 36.8 metres moulded breadth. Published occupancy of 2852 is identified as double occupancy in the individual operator factsheet and remains the operator's current published figure. It is not a maximum. The accommodation total is unresolved after the later work, with references offering incompatible inventories. Maximum guests, exact crew and total decks also remain empty where current definitions or counts have not been reconciled. The operator labels 24 knots cruising speed; this profile does not turn it into a verified maximum.
