Alexander the Great cruise terminal — Pier 2
Cruise terminal for Pier 2 quays 9 and 10; follow the ship-specific passenger route.
Port reference
Thessaloniki is a northern Aegean cruise destination with a working port close to the city's central waterfront. The location can support an independent city visit, but the cruise passenger area is still a controlled operating facility. Confirm the assigned berth and public exit before arranging a transfer, meeting an excursion provider or choosing a route into the city.
Coordinates identify the general port, not a passenger entrance. A dash means the value has not been independently verified.
ThPA identifies Alexander the Great as its cruise terminal at Pier 2, serving quays 9 and 10. The operator announced its inauguration in November 2023 after operations had begun earlier that summer. This existing facility is different from a general ferry departure point or an administrative port address. Use the actual sailing documents to establish the passenger entrance rather than assigning every ship one unverified street door.
Thessaloniki Macedonia Airport serves the city. The municipality and transport authority publish airport bus information and onward city connections. Check the current service for the travel date, then plan the final approach to the cruise terminal. A bus serving a railway or regional coach station does not automatically stop beside the ship. Allow for luggage, city traffic and the cruise check-in window.
For a rail arrival, the New Railway Station is a city transport connection, followed by a separate journey to the passenger facility. Check the actual rail service and local transfer rather than relying on the existence of a regional network alone. A city bus, a booked taxi and a ship-operated shuttle have different boarding arrangements. If assistance is required, confirm the complete route with the provider for the particular sailing.
The White Tower and waterfront offer city visiting options distinct from the cruise quays. The tourism organisation describes the tower as a historic waterfront landmark with its own museum visit. Choose how much to explore according to walking ability and the time available ashore. A longer trip elsewhere in northern Greece should be planned separately, including the return to the assigned port entrance.
ThPA's published 2026 schedule contains repeated Viking Ocean and Celebrity entries, supporting those regular brand links. The page also includes earlier years, which should not be mixed into the current programme. A named future vessel in a provisional schedule is not proof of its current operating status. The coordinate is the official general Thessaloniki position, not the terminal entrance.
Cruise terminal for Pier 2 quays 9 and 10; follow the ship-specific passenger route.
Macedonia Airport city-bus information is published by the transport authority; plan the separate last leg to Pier2.
New Railway Station needs an onward city transfer to the actual cruise entrance.
Confirm current local services and ship-specific shuttles. The central waterfront and cruise terminal are separate destinations.
Connections reflect published programmes, not a guarantee for a particular sailing. Pending and future calls can change.
Approximate straight-line distances between general port coordinates, not road or sailing routes. Proximity does not imply an available connection.
