About us Star Pride

Star Pride began passenger service as Seabourn Pride in 1988. Its former operator's history and contemporary owner delivery table establish the original timeline. Windstar's own account identifies the same ship under its later name. The 2014 introduction to Windstar is therefore a change of programme, distinct from construction or first passenger operation.

Pride was the third vessel completed in the Star Plus transformation programme. Fincantieri handed it back at Palermo in October 2021 after insertion of a new mid-body section, machinery renewal and extensive accommodation and public-space work. The conversion date belongs to the existing hull, rather than representing a newbuild delivered for the first time.

Its current published length is 159 metres, with breadth of 19 metres. Individual insurance records confirm gross tonnage of 12969, IMO 8707343 and Nassau registry. The exact individual tonnage is separated from the different number in a shared operator deck document. Shorter Seabourn-era dimensions do not describe the transformed ship.

The operator expressly limits Pride to 312 guests, with 156 suites and 200 crew identified separately. The accommodation range needs individual examination. The deck document notes that Pride's forward Owner's Suites have a different layout with a shower only. Similar suite names on Breeze or Legend therefore do not guarantee an identical bathroom or room arrangement.

Accessibility information is also specific. The operator describes modified-accessible suites, including bathroom thresholds and ordinary doorways, and identifies the midship lift as the accessible lift. These details should guide discussion of personal requirements before choosing a room. The existence of a modified suite is not a promise of unrestricted access throughout every area or port call.

Basil + Bamboo forms part of the current dining programme, confirmed by the hotel-operations director after its introduction. Check the booked fare and dining conditions when comparing optional experiences. Finally, match accommodation, itinerary and embarkation arrangements together. The ship's compact motor-yacht concept gives context, while the actual suite and route determine how a specific Pride voyage fits your plans.
