About us Scarlet Lady

Scarlet Lady is the first ship built for Virgin Voyages, delivered by Fincantieri at Genoa Sestri in 2020. Passenger cruising began in 2021, a different milestone from the yard handover. Its permanent IMO identity is 9804801. A ship's delivery year, first passenger season and later homeport debut should not be treated as interchangeable dates, particularly for a vessel introduced around the pandemic interruption to cruising.

The design established the family resemblance shared by the later Lady ships. The builder gives 277.2 metres overall and a moulded beam of 38 metres. The US Coast Guard's financial-responsibility listing records 108,192 gross tonnage, providing a precise figure alongside the builder's approximate 110,000 description. The moulded beam is not the maximum width including external projections. These distinctions make comparisons with the sister ships more meaningful than rounded headline dimensions alone.

Scarlet Lady's November 2024 work introduced a revised onboard experience, subsequently described by the operator for its current programme. Lucky Lotus by Razzle Dazzle brings a Chinese-inspired evening dining concept. Grounds Club Too was also reworked, and new cabanas changed the poolside offering. Their existence should be separated from reservation terms and any extra charges; a particular outdoor setting is not automatically included with every room.

Accommodation changes are another reason to read an up-to-date plan. The operator announced additional suites through conversion of existing accommodation. That is not the same as adding the same number of rooms to the overall total. The operator's post-work breakdown lists 1,290 cabins and 102 RockStar Quarters, together 1,392 accommodations; the original builder inventory is historical. No maximum guest capacity is inferred by doubling rooms or using the technical allowance for everyone aboard.

Virgin's adults-only policy applies to this ship, with guests aged eighteen and over. For a booking today, compare the room, applicable VoyageFair fare conditions and actual itinerary. Earlier reviews may describe a different restaurant arrangement or an older fare model. Scarlet Lady's place as the first vessel explains its history; the current layout and booking terms explain the holiday being purchased.
