About us Resilient Lady

Resilient Lady is the third Virgin Voyages ship, delivered at Fincantieri's Sestri Ponente yard in December 2022 before its passenger debut from Athens in May 2023. Its permanent IMO number is 9805348. The two years refer to different events, rather than conflicting accounts of the same milestone. The operator's later media fact sheet confirms the service launch retrospectively, so it is not treated merely as a planned date that must have happened.

Entertainment is a useful distinction when comparing this vessel with its sisters. The current operator directory associates Resilient Lady with productions including Persephone, Lola's Library and Another Rose. These names describe a programme particular to the ship, not a guarantee that every show runs every night. Travellers choosing for a performance should check the applicable sailing schedule and whether booking or a supplementary charge applies to the event they want.

The builder gives an overall length of 277.2 metres and a moulded beam of 38 metres. The US Coast Guard's vessel listing records 108,232 gross tonnage, distinct from the approximate 110,000 often used in design summaries. The line's sales sheet describes seventeen total decks. Total decks are not the same as seventeen floors freely accessible to every guest; cabins and crew or service areas occupy different parts of the vessel.

The published accommodation breakdown contains 1,330 cabins plus 78 RockStar Quarters. Those categories yield 1,408 guest accommodations, rather than 1,330 including suites. A general figure of 2,770 guests does not explicitly settle the lower-berth versus maximum-capacity distinction, so neither passenger field is inferred from it. In particular, doubling the room total would also ignore solo and multi-occupancy arrangements.

Fincantieri's delivery account describes recovery of diesel-engine waste heat as one efficiency measure. That is not evidence of an emission-free ship or a different primary fuel. For booking, combine Resilient Lady's actual room type and entertainment interests with the published route and fare conditions. Its Greek debut is part of its history, not a promise that it remains permanently based in Athens.
