About us Norwegian Encore

Norwegian Encore completed NCL's four-ship Breakaway Plus series in 2019. Meyer Werft built it in Papenburg and handed it over in Bremerhaven, which are different construction and delivery locations rather than competing shipyard claims. Its 2024 refurbishment is especially relevant when comparing older ship maps with the present onboard experience: the original laser-tag arena is no longer a reliable attraction to promise.

Spice H 2O now occupies that outdoor role as an adults-only retreat. The change creates a useful choice between the main pool setting and a space aimed at adult relaxation. Meanwhile the Encore Speedway continues the ship's go-kart identity, and Galaxy Pavilion offers virtual recreation indoors. Families can compare these activities with their own participation requirements and budget, rather than assuming every advertised experience is included or suitable for every age.

The refurbishment also altered the restaurant mix. Palomar replaced Ocean Blue, and Cagney's Steakhouse and Teppanyaki gained space. Onda by Scarpetta supplies another speciality option. Taste, Savor and The Manhattan Room offer a different starting point for planning included meals. Look at the current venue list and the actual fare conditions together; a restaurant on a launch-era plan may have changed its name, footprint or function.

Choir of Man remains listed in the current entertainment programme alongside comedy and music venues such as The Cavern Club. An indoor evening can therefore be planned around several settings, but exact performances should be checked for the sailing. The Observation Lounge is also relevant to travellers who want to spend time looking out without depending on open-deck weather.

Haven suites have dedicated access and services, distinct from ordinary balconies. Some accommodation and lounge space changed during refurbishment, making historical room counts particularly easy to misuse. This record uses the operator's current 3,958 double-occupancy guests and 1,735 crew and leaves an unreconciled cabin total empty. Its 169,116 GT operator reference is retained separately from differing builder and insurance figures, rather than silently treating them as identical measurements.
