About us Norwegian Escape

Norwegian Escape launched the Breakaway Plus series in 2015. Built by Meyer Werft in Papenburg, it precedes Joy, Bliss and Encore and has a shorter hull than those later members. Its activity identity is also different: the ropes course and Aqua Racer waterslide are more useful reference points than assuming the go-kart track found on some sisters is present here.

The ship is undergoing a new refurbishment in October 2026. The operator advertises an enlarged Vibe Beach Club, Palomar, a relocated Starbucks and a new pickleball court as forthcoming changes. They are described here as planned, because the check date falls before a confirmed completion. The last completed refurbishment year retained in the structured record is 2022. A website can already promote the future product while the work itself is still in progress.

For evaluating the established layout, The Waterfront combines outdoor circulation with places to eat and drink, while 678 Ocean Place links several interior levels. Those two settings help explain how an evening can move between indoor activity and sea-facing spaces. Study the current departure's plan when selecting a room near the promenade, since proximity to public venues can be convenient without necessarily suiting a guest seeking early-night quiet.

Food Republic and Cagney's Steakhouse provide speciality choices, and the operator continues to feature The Cellars Wine Bar. The Choir of Man supplies a music-and-performance option in the published programme. These names describe the product rather than a guarantee that every restaurant or performance operates during maintenance. Travellers booked shortly after the yard period should confirm the facilities essential to their plans.

Studios and The Haven address very different accommodation priorities: a room designed for one traveller versus a separate suite-and-service product. Compare the category's actual access rights. Current published double occupancy is 4,218 with 1,733 crew. The operator's 164,998 GT differs from the builder's original 164,600 reference; its later published figure is retained with that distinction documented. Neither double occupancy nor an historical cabin count is treated as a verified maximum passenger total.
