About us MSC World Asia

MSC World Asia is the third World-family ship for MSC Cruises and remains under construction at the checked date. Chantiers de l'Atlantique is completing it in Saint-Nazaire, France. The operator confirmed final sea trials in September 2026, with delivery planned for 25 November and the first passenger sailing from Barcelona on 4 December. Trials and a naming ceremony are different milestones from the start of paid passenger operation.

The current international operator page gives planned length of 333.3 metres and breadth of 47 metres, but explicitly leaves gross tonnage unavailable. Older regional pages repeat another World ship's tonnage reference. That is not used to manufacture a final figure here. Guest and accommodation totals also vary between pre-delivery references, so unresolved definitions and inventories remain clearly open rather than being copied from World Europa or America.

The announced design includes a suspended dragon sculpture in World Promenade and The Spiral at Tree of Life. The Clubhouse and redesigned Luna Park Arena add family and entertainment spaces, while Coral Cove Pool provides an indoor setting with a retractable roof. These are announced future features, not a report of facilities already experienced on a completed passenger voyage.

An October 2026 announcement adds Eataly to the dining selection, following its introduction on World America. Compare that specific restaurant concept with the dining conditions of the chosen fare instead of treating the existence of a brand name as an inclusion promise. The operator plans Mediterranean cruises despite the ship's Asia-themed name; a regional design reference does not establish deployment in Asian waters.

For a future booking, examine the exact room category, sleeping arrangement and stated outlook. Separate private Yacht Club privileges from ordinary accommodation and confirm any balcony or promenade-facing view. Recheck the delivery timetable, final specifications and the actual embarkation port before arranging travel. World Asia does not contribute to the active fleet total while it remains in the yard.
