About us MSC Orchestra

MSC Orchestra entered service in 2007 as the second Musica-family vessel. It was built at Saint-Nazaire in France. Its size and public-room arrangement belong to the earlier MSC generation, with individual theatre, lounge and restaurant names that should not be replaced by features taken from a newer fleet member. The most useful comparison starts with the places a traveller actually expects to use.

The operator records 92,409 gross tonnage, 293.8 metres overall length and 32.2 metres breadth. The full guest reference is 3,223 in 1,275 cabins. Sixteen total decks include thirteen for guests in the October 2024 sheet. That sheet gives approximately 1,054 crew, whereas the current web page lists about 940; the current web reference is retained and the older edition documented. Maximum-speed values disagree and remain open.

Covent Garden Theatre is a specific evening landmark. The technical list identifies The Shaker Lounge, The Savannah Bar and La Cantinella, with L'Ibiscus and Villa Borghese as principal dining rooms. These offer a practical set of meeting and meal locations. Compare the actual programme and fare before assuming that a restaurant listing establishes identical food, times or charges on every sailing.

Yacht Club is announced from March 2027, with new dining concepts and renewed spa and fitness facilities as part of the refurbishment. The operator's future sales presentation should not be read as confirmation that these changes are already operating in October 2026. Check the applicable departure and category when comparing a future private-area product with the ship's earlier accommodation.

For a family trip, relate the youth spaces and sports options to ages and interests, including any participation requirements. Then examine beds, view and the exact cabin's position. Walking routes to repeated meeting places can matter more than a broad deck preference. Put that layout alongside ports and sea days, and choose using Orchestra's own configuration for the booked date rather than treating a future upgrade as a present-day guarantee.
