About us MSC Magnifica

MSC Magnifica entered service in 2010 as the fourth member of MSC Cruises' Musica family. It was built in Saint-Nazaire, France, and has its own larger tonnage reference rather than the figure shared by the earlier Musica and Orchestra. The distinction is useful when comparing individual ships, but volume alone does not describe their public spaces or accommodation products.

The March 2026 operator technical sheet gives 95,128 gross tonnage, 293.8 metres overall length and 32.2 metres breadth. Its current accommodation reference is 1,242 cabins and 3,223 full guests. The sheet counts sixteen total decks, thirteen for guests. Crew references differ between that sheet and the current ship page, so the crew field is left open rather than presenting two editions as one certain figure. Double occupancy is not calculated from cabins.

Magnifica's recent refurbishment and Yacht Club are confirmed in current operator material. The renewed product includes Butcher's Cut and Kaito Sushi Bar, with L'Edera and Quattro Venti as other named restaurants in the technical inventory. Royal Theatre, Onyx Lounge and Tiger Bar provide individual evening reference points. These names help compare the current ship, while old room inventories may predate the conversion.

The covered pool with retractable roof is a useful feature for travellers considering varied weather or longer voyages. The operator documents a Panama Canal passage during the 2026 World Cruise and advertises further world voyages. That does not mean every Magnifica sailing circles the globe or includes the canal. Read the actual ports, duration and embarkation arrangements of the trip being considered.

For accommodation, examine the current category's beds, outlook and any private-area rights. A Yacht Club offer and an ordinary room should be compared on their stated inclusions, not by a shared balcony label. Trace the routes to frequently used meeting and dining places, then relate that routine to the number of sea days. Magnifica's own revised layout and the selected itinerary together provide the most useful basis for deciding whether its longer-voyage presentation suits your holiday.
