Port reference

Skagway

Skagway is an Alaska cruise destination at the northern end of the Inside Passage, with a historic town and several working passenger docks. The municipality's current port schedule distinguishes Railroad Dock's forward and aft positions, Broadway Dock and Ore Terminal Dock. Establish the actual assignment before planning a meeting point. The dock names describe different places and should not be collapsed into one entrance.

Coordinates identify the general port, not a passenger entrance. A dash means the value has not been independently verified.

Railroad Dock has managed passenger access beside a rockslide-mitigation area. Follow the ship and port's current route instructions rather than assuming every visitor can independently walk along every part of the dock. Broadway and Ore have their own approaches. A historical port ownership description does not establish the present operator or the permitted passenger path for the actual call.

Skagway has local air connections, with Juneau serving as an important onward gateway. The tourism office also describes arrival by road through the Yukon and by Alaska Marine Highway. These are different transport plans. Confirm the actual air or ferry arrival and the road transfer to the assigned cruise dock; a flight into Juneau is not an arrival at Skagway's gangway.

The White Pass and Yukon Route is a sightseeing railway associated with the town and waterfront. It should not be represented as a through airport railway or a guaranteed boarding platform for every cruise ship. Confirm the excursion's own departure station and return arrangements. A road trip involving Canada also needs its own route planning rather than being treated as a short local port transfer.

Klondike Gold Rush National Historical Park offers historic town buildings and visitor interpretation. This town-focused visit differs from a longer railway excursion or a trip into the surrounding landscape. Choose according to walking ability, ship time and the actual dock access. Keep enough time for the permitted return route and any managed boarding arrangement.

CLAA's October 2026 calendar for the 2027 season shows recurring Holland America, Princess and Norwegian visits. Those planned calls support the regular links but do not guarantee a specific dock for a future sailing. The position here is the NGA general Skagway harbour reference because the verified UN/LOCODE provides no coordinate. It is not a passenger entrance or a railway platform.

Local transport and final connection

Railroad forward/aft, Broadway and Ore have different approaches. Follow current managed-access instructions.
