About us Star Seeker

Star Seeker joined Windstar's passenger programme in December 2025, before its formal Miami christening in January 2026. The operator's later fleet account identifies it as already having debuted in 2025. Passenger introduction, handover and the naming ceremony are separate milestones rather than interchangeable dates for the start of the ship's history.

WestSEA delivered the completed vessel at Viana do Castelo in Portugal on 15 December 2025. It is a newbuild, unlike the older Star Class trio that underwent the Star Plus lengthening programme. Shared branding does not make Seeker an identical sister of Star Breeze, Star Legend or Star Pride.

The operator's dated January 2026 deck document specifies 131.5 metres in length and a breadth of 19 metres. Its propulsion description identifies twin propellers and geared diesel engines. This individual published arrangement takes precedence over assuming every modern small yacht uses the same propulsion system. The stated cruising speed remains separate from a verified maximum.

Current individual insurance records identify IMO 9904819, Bahamas registry and gross tonnage of 10204. Different tonnages appear in older publicity and a shared two-ship deck sheet. This profile uses the individual current insurance figure, without copying a future Explorer specification or treating the two hulls as one record.

Seeker has 112 suites, including accommodation with verandas or infinity-window arrangements. The current onboard account describes the Yacht Club's transition from daytime gathering space to an evening cocktail venue. That gives a concrete comparison point with the earlier trio, rather than relying only on the general all-suite label.

Before choosing accommodation, compare the actual room layout and outdoor-space arrangement with the time you expect to spend aboard. The operator marks accessible suites in its deck information, but particular mobility requirements still need checking against the reserved room and boarding arrangements. Align independent transport and shore plans with the confirmed itinerary. The vessel's newbuild history provides context; the selected suite, dining conditions and route determine the practical experience of a particular sailing.
