About us Star Princess
Star Princess began its maiden passenger voyage from Barcelona on 4 October 2025. It is the second Sphere-class vessel and should be identified by IMO 9863120 when checking technical records. Earlier Princess ships reused the Star name; the 2002 ship is a different vessel and now appears in the Carnival fleet as Carnival Encounter. A familiar name therefore cannot establish a ship's age or design.
The relationship with Sun Princess is visible in the projecting Piazza sphere and the glazed Dome. Princess Arena supplies a separate setting for staged entertainment, while Princess Live offers a smaller programme space. Choose by the actual performance and timing instead of assuming that every venue presents the same kind of show. Daily schedules remain more useful than an old list of opening-season productions.
Star's launch information identifies a SkyDeck court for pickleball and basketball, alongside a jogging track, splash pad and shaded seating. These are individual features of this ship, rather than activities inferred from its sister. O'Malley's Irish Pub and Love by Britto also gained seating compared with the earlier design. Extra seats do not make the same dining package suitable for every guest, so compare the reservations you expect to use.
The main dining-room names include Aurora and Celestial. Sanctuary Restaurant belongs to the selected accommodation product, so its appearance on a dining list is not evidence of access for every booking. The Eatery and International Café provide other meal settings. Speciality venues such as Makoto Ocean and Umai Teppanyaki should be checked against the fare's actual restaurant conditions. Sanctuary benefits similarly depend on the room category purchased.
The builder and insurer agree on 177,882 GT, more precise than the rounded 177,800 in the operator fact sheet. Individual technical dimensions are 345.5 metres overall and 42.5 metres moulded breadth. The published 4,300 lower berths are distinct from maximum occupancy. Its 2,157 guest rooms and 1,600 crew describe different inventories; neither should be used to calculate an invented full passenger limit. Dual-fuel machinery is designed primarily for LNG operation, without making every sailing emission-free.
