About us Silver Spirit
Silver Spirit was built at Fincantieri's Ancona yard and introduced in 2009. Its permanent IMO number is 9437866. The ship has changed substantially since that introduction: a fifteen-metre midsection was inserted during the 2018 lengthening project at Palermo, so original delivery dimensions do not describe the present hull.
The published post-lengthening technical reference gives 210.7 metres overall length and 26.5 metres width. Its 39,519 gross tonnage agrees with the current operator page. The present crew figure is 415, different from earlier programme descriptions. Do not use a pre-lengthening port record to overwrite later operator particulars without reconciling the dates and measurement basis.
A further refurbishment in 2026 introduced S.A.L.T. culinary venues and changed public spaces. The operator's September report confirms these enhancements were already in place ahead of the Grand Voyage Mediterranean. The Riviera poolside concept is a particular addition, while S.A.L.T. Kitchen, Bar and Lab connect dining, regional drinks and practical culinary learning. This is completed work, separate from the earlier February announcement of plans.
The Grand Voyage provides a dated example of Spirit's current role. The September 2026 report describes a journey from Lisbon towards Athens, with its final programme extending into November. Longer port stays and cultural activities belong to that particular itinerary. They should not be treated as a permanent sequence or as benefits automatically included on every shorter segment.
Suite selection needs the same attention to dates. Read the current category layout and confirmed reservation benefits rather than relying on a diagram from before the latest changes. Added accommodation categories can alter the inventory without changing the ship's original service history. Personal preferences for living space, outdoor area and location should guide a room comparison.
Current guest figures differ from historic pre-refurbishment totals. The headline capacity is not turned into a certified maximum or double-occupancy figure by dividing or multiplying room numbers. Physical deck total and present propulsion details remain open where the reviewed records do not settle them. Spirit is best understood through its two distinct transformations: the 2018 hull extension and the 2026 renewal of the onboard product.

A dash means no independently verified value is available. Guest counts at double occupancy and maximum capacity are different measures. GT measures enclosed volume, not weight.
