About us Silver Ray
Silver Ray joined Silversea in 2024 as the second Nova Class vessel. Meyer Werft documented its handover in Eemshaven on 14 May. The naming ceremony followed in Lisbon on 12 June, with ocean scientist María Josefina Olascoaga as godmother. Delivery, naming and passenger introduction are separate milestones within the same original service year.
Its contemporary operator tour programme records the 15 June departure from Lisbon to Civitavecchia. The dated route includes an overnight call at Cádiz and subsequent Mediterranean ports. That document supports an individual historical itinerary. It does not turn every port in the programme into an enduring homeport or guarantee that later voyages repeat the same sequence.
Ray shares Nova's asymmetrical layout, with accommodation and public areas arranged horizontally across the ship. The current linked plan places suites on Decks 6 through 9. The pool and Marquee are on Deck 10, while the Cliff whirlpool is above on Deck 11. Selecting a suite therefore involves comparing its position against the places you expect to use most often.
There are 364 suites, with several layouts and balcony arrangements. A larger category can change the balance between interior living space and outdoor seating. It does not change the time spent in port. Compare the actual room description and confirmed benefits rather than reading all suite names as equivalent accommodation.
Culinary choices include S.A.L.T. Kitchen, the laboratory and the Chef's Table, alongside venues such as Atlantide and La Terrazza. Check the booked fare and arrangements for each experience. Current published crew capacity is 544; the 728-guest headline has no separately verified occupancy basis here. The US Coast Guard record matches IMO 9886225 to gross tonnage of 55051, distinct from the operator's promotional figure. Marine Service confirms installed LNG supply equipment. No claim that this removes every operational emission follows from that equipment specification.

A dash means no independently verified value is available. Guest counts at double occupancy and maximum capacity are different measures. GT measures enclosed volume, not weight.
