About us Silver Muse

Silver Muse introduced Silversea's Muse Class in 2017, following construction at Fincantieri's Sestri Ponente yard in Genoa. Its permanent IMO number is 9784350. The introductory celebrations in Monaco belong to that original passenger programme, while subsequent refurbishment dates describe later changes rather than a new ship identity.

The first major dry dock was completed in late 2025 at Palermo. A company release published on 15 January 2026 explicitly describes guests already experiencing the renewed ship on a late-December voyage. The completed refurbishment year is therefore 2025, not the publication year of the report. That distinction prevents a retrospective announcement from shifting the ship's actual history.

S.A.L.T. Kitchen and S.A.L.T. Bar were introduced through this renewal. The programme links onboard dining and regional drinks to destinations, complementing culinary experiences ashore. The release also records additional Medallion accommodation and renewed public spaces. These changes make older restaurant and room diagrams a starting point for historical comparison rather than the definitive present arrangement.

The operator's current page lists 415 crew and a guest headline different from the original 596-person introduction. That figure should not be inferred from the original 298-room builder inventory. Check the actual category plan, services and sailing when choosing accommodation. A larger suite, more outdoor space and a preferred location are different reasons to upgrade and should be weighed separately.

Fincantieri's hull-specific reference gives 212.8 metres overall length and 27 metres moulded beam. It identifies four Wärtsilä generating sets and two 8,500-kilowatt propulsion units. The builder and operator both publish 40,700 gross tonnage; this is recorded as their stated figure rather than represented as a newly verified measurement certificate.

Comparing Muse with Moon or Dawn requires more than their class relationship. The dates of delivery, original layout and later work differ. Review the current restaurant selection and accommodation information for the ship actually booked. Exact passenger-capacity bases and physical deck totals remain unresolved where a current primary record does not identify them. For independent travel, the confirmed departure and arrival gateway matter more than a general photograph of a destination or the name of the design family.
