About us Silver Dawn

Silver Dawn was delivered by Fincantieri at Ancona on 12 November 2021. The first passenger journey followed in April 2022 after the Lisbon naming celebration. This separates completion of the ship from the start of its commercial guest programme. The permanent IMO number is 9857937.

Dawn is the third vessel in the Muse series, following Muse and Moon. The ship introduced the Otium wellness concept alongside its S.A.L.T. offering. Otium describes a broader approach to comfort and indulgence; it is not treated here as a promise that every treatment or optional experience has the same price or inclusion. Read the actual service and reservation conditions.

Wärtsilä's individual case study confirms a diesel-electric propulsion system and an installed shore-power connection. Generating machinery, motors and controls work together as an integrated plant. A connection aboard the vessel is different from evidence that shore power can be used at every port. The system description also does not justify copying engine particulars from Muse where the individual hull has a different record.

The builder's technical dimensions are 212.8 metres overall length and 27 metres moulded beam. Its approximately twenty-one-knot maximum is distinguished from service speed. The detailed hull table uses a different tonnage from the operator's generic ship headline, so the technical source is identified rather than implying that the two figures are identical.

Accommodation decisions should focus on the category actually reserved. Suite plans, outdoor areas and location influence daily use in different ways. A premium suite's additional space cannot establish the layout of a standard category, and a general ship photograph does not settle accessibility details. Compare the confirmed room and its benefits alongside the route.

The current operator page lists 411 crew and a 596-guest headline. Those figures do not turn a total-persons design value into a certified passenger maximum. Double-occupancy basis, complete physical deck total and a later major refurbishment remain open where independently verified current evidence is absent. Dawn's individual service introduction, wellness identity and engineering record provide a more useful comparison than treating all three Muse-series ships as the same vessel. Check your departure's actual transport gateways before arranging flights or a pre-cruise stay.
