About us Queen Elizabeth

Queen Elizabeth is Cunard's cruise ship delivered by Fincantieri at Monfalcone in 2010, with passenger service beginning that October. The permanent IMO identity is 9477438. It is separate from the former Queen Elizabeth and Queen Elizabeth 2. Using the full identity and service year prevents older liner photographs or accounts of the retired QE2 from being mistaken for this current fleet member.

Its 2025 transformation is completed work. Cunard confirmed the end of a three-week refit at Seatrium's Admiralty Yard in Singapore in March, ahead of the ship's North American programme. This confirmation is stronger evidence of present changes than the earlier announcement describing what would be installed. The original build remains 2010; refreshed facilities do not make it a newly constructed vessel.

The work included public spaces such as the Commodore Club, Queens Room, Garden Lounge and Pavilion. Outdoor changes included additional shade on the aft deck, a practical consideration for warmer-weather journeys. Shade in a particular area does not turn the entire open deck into a sheltered venue. Compare the places you expect to use with the sailing's climate and the actual layout, rather than relying on a general description of a refreshed ship.

The Pavilion Wellness Café and changes to Grills accommodation added further distinctions. Grills lounge and terrace access belongs to the qualifying accommodation arrangements, not to every passenger. Likewise, the introduction of a wellness venue does not mean spa treatments or personal programmes are included in all fares. The category, venue and service terms need to be read together.

The insurer's current record gives 90,901 gross tonnage. Fincantieri publishes 294 metres overall and a moulded breadth of 32.3 metres. Present passenger and cabin totals have not been reconciled sufficiently against the corporate capacity table and older construction inventory to publish them as precise comparable statistics. Queen Elizabeth can instead be compared through confirmed dimensions, the completed 2025 work, the specific room and the itinerary offered, without mixing those with the histories of its similarly named predecessors.
