About us MSC Sinfonia

MSC Sinfonia began passenger service in 2002 as European Stars, built for Festival Cruises in Saint-Nazaire, France. MSC acquired the vessel after Festival's collapse and introduced it under its current brand in 2005. The original service year is therefore earlier than the MSC introduction. The immutable IMO identifier helps preserve that continuity when names and operators change.

The current operator records 65,542 gross tonnage and a rounded overall length of 274.9 metres, with 28.8 metres breadth. Its current full guest reference is 2,658, while the July 2022 sheet lists 2,646. Both give 980 cabins. The current web crew reference is about 721, differing from approximately 742 in the older sheet. These editions are kept distinct; the full guest total is not converted into an unsupported double-occupancy capacity.

The Renaissance programme lengthened Sinfonia at Fincantieri's Palermo yard in 2015. That was a conversion of the existing ship, not original construction in Italy. Early European Stars photographs and accommodation counts may predate the inserted section and should not replace current plans. The project explains part of its history without establishing that no later work has taken place.

Teatro San Carlo, Pasha Club Disco and Sanremo Casino are individual entertainment landmarks. The technical inventory identifies Il Covo and Il Galeone dining rooms, Caffè del Mare and La Terrazza Buffet. Sinfonia Lounge & Library and Shelagh's House provide other gathering settings. These specific names allow a traveller to compare meals and evenings rather than assume every Lirica-family vessel has the same public rooms.

The operator's current family offer includes a spray park and age-oriented play areas. Check the actual programme, participation conditions and fare inclusions for the departure. For accommodation, compare required beds, view and the exact balcony product, then follow the route to the spaces you expect to use regularly. Put those details beside the number of sea days and port calls. Sinfonia's present layout and itinerary together are more informative than its MSC introduction date alone.
