About us EXPLORA III

EXPLORA III entered passenger operation in July 2026. Its delivery on 23 July was followed by the Mediterranean Prelude journey, before the formal naming in Barcelona. The operator's subsequent naming account describes the preview as an event that had already taken place. The first commercial passenger programme is therefore separated from the later ceremonial debut.

The ship was completed at Fincantieri's Sestri Ponente yard in Genoa. A participating supplier's post-delivery account identifies a length of 268 metres and 461 suites with private terraces. These completed-vessel particulars are more useful than automatically carrying forward the 463-room inventory published while construction was still underway.

III is the brand's first LNG-capable ship and also has shore-power connectivity. Those capabilities describe installed equipment, without promising the same fuel mixture on every sailing or an electricity connection at every port. Actual use of shore power requires compatible infrastructure and operating arrangements at the berth.

The culinary offer includes The Cellar, The Chef's Table and Shore Club on 11. A second Owner's Residence was designed by Patricia Urquiola. These individual features help explain the difference from EXPLORA I and II, rather than treating every vessel in the group as an identical hotel. Check the reserved suite and dining conditions against the actual voyage before selecting additional experiences.

Gross-tonnage figures remain inconsistent between current official records: US Coast Guard information and port-authority entries do not agree. This profile records the conflict and leaves that field unresolved. Published guest headlines likewise are not silently converted into double occupancy or an assumed maximum.

For practical comparison, consider the longer ship's accommodation arrangement alongside the confirmed route. A journey with several sea days creates different priorities from one dominated by full days in port. Confirm boarding instructions and transport connections independently of a general destination description. The available time ashore, room location and conditions for restaurants and wellness experiences are the details that make a specific III sailing assessable.
