About us Celestyal Journey

Celestyal Journey began its passenger history as Holland America Line's Ryndam in 1994. The former operator places Ryndam within its four-ship S class, distinct from the R class of Bolette and Borealis. Later names included Pacific Aria and Aegean Goddess. Introduction to Celestyal in 2023 is a subsequent chapter, rather than the ship's original build or service year.

The operator's individual technical sheet identifies a length of 219.3 metres and beam of 30.8 metres. Current ship-manager information and a recent Dubrovnik port record corroborate gross tonnage of 55877. The port also matches IMO 8919269 with Bermuda flag, giving the current identity a specific individual basis.

Published accommodation comprises 630 cabins, including balcony suites, exterior rooms and interior rooms. The technical sheet explicitly gives 1260 guests at double occupancy. This figure keeps its stated basis instead of becoming an assumed certified maximum. When comparing categories, examine the actual room and balcony arrangement alongside the facilities available to that category.

The last refurbishment recorded in the operator's factsheet is April 2025. Its venue inventory includes Thalassa, The Tavern and specialty dining choices such as Pink Moon and Grill Seekers. Compare the dining conditions attached to the booking rather than assuming every named restaurant is included without an additional charge or reservation.

Public spaces include two pool areas, the Amphitheatro Show Lounge and the Sozo spa. The Atrium extends across decks six, seven and eight. These provide different settings for days aboard between destinations. Consider how much time the chosen route leaves for using the ship, especially when comparing a port-intensive week with a longer combined journey.

The current travel update confirms the ship's Mediterranean programme is operating. Plan against the specific confirmed departure instead of an older region-wide brochure. Match the suite or cabin, embarkation instructions and port hours together before organising independent transport. The ship's original S-class design and more recent Celestyal features explain its setting; the actual itinerary and accommodation determine the daily experience.
