About us Carnival Tropicale
Carnival Tropicale is the fifth Excel-family ship for Carnival Cruise Line and remains under construction in Papenburg, Germany. Steel cutting at Meyer Werft took place in September 2026. The operator plans its Galveston introduction for April 2028. A future cruise being on sale does not establish completed delivery, and this new hull should not be confused with Carnival's much earlier vessel called Tropicale.
Meyer Werft's project reference gives approximate planned dimensions of 344 metres length and 42 metres moulded breadth, with about 180,000 gross tonnage. These are preliminary builder references. The general statement about more than 6,400 guests does not supply an exact maximum or an explicit double-occupancy count. Those fields remain unknown rather than being copied from Festivale or one of the existing Excel ships. The builder identifies LNG fuel.
Sunsation Point is the announced multi-deck family recreation area. WaterWorks Ultra is planned with six waterslides, including the SunSoaker and Turning Tides family raft attractions. Fairway 66 mini golf takes inspiration from Route 66, while Treehouse Adventure Trail and The Vault Retrocade add different activities. These specific names offer a way to compare the future product without treating its construction announcements as facilities already in operation.
The new restaurant selection includes Fetaccine, combining Greek and Italian influences; Emeril's Coastal Seafood; and Uku Lei Lei, with Hawaiian and Asian influences. Review the actual menus, reservations and fare conditions when they become applicable to the booked sailing. Announced cuisine is not a guarantee that every meal will be included or that an early restaurant proposal will remain unchanged through delivery.
The operator's first Galveston programme includes Caribbean, Bahamian and Mexican destinations. Confirm the departure date and full port sequence before arranging travel. For accommodation, wait for the applicable individual category and bed details instead of reusing a sister ship's plan. Tropicale's construction status, provisional specifications and announced venues belong together in a future-facing comparison; it does not count toward the active fleet total.
