About us Carnival Festivale
Carnival Festivale is the fourth Excel-family ship for Carnival Cruise Line and remains under construction at the checked date. Meyer Werft is building it in Papenburg, Germany. The operator reported the keel-laying ceremony in August 2025 and plans passenger service in 2027. Its name recalls an earlier Carnival vessel, but this is a new hull, not a renamed survivor of that earlier generation.
The current newsroom specification gives planned figures of 182,015 gross tonnage, 5,356 guests at double occupancy and 1,768 team members. The builder's original project summary instead uses approximately 180,000 GT, alongside roughly 344 metres length and 42 metres moulded breadth. The more specific operator tonnage is retained here; all remain pre-delivery references rather than completed survey measurements. The builder identifies LNG propulsion.
Music shapes the announced public spaces. Studio 724 combines a two-deck setting with sound, lighting and animation, while The Festival takes inspiration from outdoor music events. Le Bistro Musicale brings a French dining theme, and The Mix is among the announced social venues. These specific concepts help distinguish Festivale from its earlier Excel relatives without assuming that every room on the older ships will be reproduced.
Sunsation Point is the planned outdoor family recreation area across decks sixteen to eighteen. WaterWorks Ultra includes family raft attractions, with SunSoaker and Turning Tides named in the operator's presentation. A family comparing future holidays should check participation rules and the final opening arrangements rather than treating an early attraction announcement as an unconditional promise of access.
Port Canaveral is the announced base for the Caribbean programme. Match the exact departure to the booked itinerary and allow for the particular uncertainty of a ship still being completed. Room selection should use Festivale's own current category information: beds, connecting arrangements and included privileges matter more than a generic Excel label. Recheck delivery and operating status before travelling; this ship is not counted among Carnival's active vessels.
