About us Azamara Quest
Azamara Quest is an R-class ship built in 2000, originally named R Seven. Its later identities include Delphin Renaissance and Blue Moon. Azamara's own factsheet places its inaugural cruise for the present brand in October 2007. The brand introduction is a separate event from original construction and should not be read as the age of the hull.
Quest is the first ship scheduled for the Azamara Forward enhancement programme. At this review date, the published drydock start of 31 October 2026 is still ahead. The programme also distinguishes the return to sailing from the later full debut in December. Proposed suites and reconfigured venues therefore remain planned features here, rather than completed accommodation added prematurely to the ship's inventory.
This timing matters when comparing departures. A reservation made for one sailing should be assessed using the layout and facilities confirmed for that date. Ask how any published transition affects the actual booked room, dining arrangements and public areas. A future rendering cannot establish what a guest will find on an earlier cruise.
The present individual ship description includes the Drawing Room library and the Living Room social space. They offer different ways to spend time between port visits. When choosing accommodation, consider the route as well as room size: longer passages can make a balcony or a preferred quiet space more significant than on a sailing with frequent full days ashore.
Published passenger figures remain inconsistent between the operator factsheet and the later corporate admission document. This profile preserves that uncertainty rather than presenting an unsupported maximum. Likewise, shared R-class ancestry with Journey, Pursuit and Onward does not justify copying another ship's room inventory or technical details.
For practical planning, compare confirmed port hours and embarkation arrangements alongside the accommodation category. Allow the final itinerary and current booking conditions to guide independent transport and evening plans. Quest's relatively compact ship concept explains its general positioning, while the selected voyage determines the actual balance between sea time, dining and exploration ashore.

A dash means no independently verified value is available. Guest counts at double occupancy and maximum capacity are different measures. GT measures enclosed volume, not weight.
