About us AIDAcosma

AIDAcosma entered passenger service in 2022 after Meyer Werft delivered the ship on 21 December 2021. Construction and guest operations therefore belong to different years. Built in Papenburg, it is the second AIDA vessel in the Helios class and is identified by IMO 9781877. Current insurance and technical particulars agree on 183774 gross tons, replacing the builder's older 183200 summary for this field.

The aft Ocean Deck is a particularly useful distinction from AIDAnova. Its open arrangement combines an infinity pool, a bar and a stage, with further sun areas at different levels. Beach Club offers another pool and social setting, while the indoor Fun Park and bouldering provision add active choices. Compare the likely use of these spaces on sea days rather than assuming that the two Helios ships have identical upper decks.

Theatrium provides the central performance and gathering area. Beach House is a named dining option on Cosma, with table service and a contemporary mixed menu. Its current conditions distinguish included food from drinks and apply the stated LIGHT-fare exception. A restaurant appearing on a ship profile does not make all consumption free. The appropriate comparison combines the meal setting with the actual fare and reservation arrangements.

Accommodation includes single rooms and several balcony and suite arrangements. The current individual ship page records 2732 guest cabins; an older charter inventory lists 2728 and the builder's summary repeats 2626. The current individual count is retained with the discrepancy explained. The operator's charter information gives 6880 maximum guests, corroborated by a separate vessel reference. This is a maximum capacity, not a double-occupancy figure derived by doubling the room count.

The ship measures 337 metres overall and 42 metres moulded breadth, with twenty total decks. LNG/diesel-electric describes the propulsion and fuel arrangement; it does not establish that every voyage uses one fuel exclusively or produces no emissions. The current operator labels 17 knots simply as speed, while technical references identify service speed. A verified maximum remains open, as does exact crew where published inventories differ. A planned first drydock in November 2026 is future at this review date and is not recorded as a completed refurbishment.
