Port reference

George Town, Grand Cayman

George Town on Grand Cayman is a cruise tender destination rather than an ocean-ship boarding pier in the town centre. The Port Authority identifies Royal Watler, North and South terminal facilities. Confirm which landing is assigned to the ship before choosing an excursion meeting point. A place visible across the waterfront is not automatically the entrance used for your tender return.

Coordinates identify the general port, not a passenger entrance. A dash means the value has not been independently verified.

The cruise arrival process includes the journey from the anchored ship to shore and the return journey later in the day. Keep the last tender time available while planning a visit. Weather and operational decisions can affect the landing arrangements. The port authority also warns that local scheduled times can differ from a ship's published times because Cayman does not observe daylight saving time. Follow the actual instructions issued aboard your ship.

Owen Roberts International Airport serves Grand Cayman. The airports authority describes dispatched taxis from the arrivals greeting area and pre-booked transport options. Arrange a road journey to the right destination, but do not assume that an airport transfer includes access to an anchored cruise ship. Cayman Brac's airport is on a different island and cannot replace a Grand Cayman arrival without a separate connection.

The Cayman Islands National Museum is on Harbour Drive in George Town, providing a town-based cultural visiting option. Check its opening arrangements before organising a short shore visit around it. Waterfront browsing and a museum visit need a different timetable from a longer beach or boat excursion. Choose a route that leaves time for the correct tender terminal and any boarding queue.

Seven Mile Beach and other island attractions require their own onward journey rather than a promise that every destination lies beside the landing. The coordinate here is a general town reference. The authority's October 2026 calendar lists repeated Norwegian Prima, Celebrity, Disney and Carnival calls, supporting those regular line links. Cargo vessels marked with an asterisk and missed calls marked in red are excluded from that evidence. Scheduled visits remain subject to change and do not guarantee a particular future landing.
