About us Silver Cloud
Silver Cloud began Silversea's passenger history in 1994 and now serves the expedition programme. Its permanent IMO number is 8903923. The operator records a 2017 refurbishment, distinguishing the present expedition product from its original luxury-ocean introduction. A long operating history does not mean every feature described in an early brochure remains unchanged.
The current page specifies 212 crew and twenty Zodiacs. It also describes ten kayaks, but equipment availability alone does not guarantee a particular activity on every departure. Voyage conditions, location and the daily expedition plan determine the practical opportunities. Compare the actual itinerary rather than selecting a trip from a photograph of one possible landing.
Cloud's smaller expedition setting invites a different approach to shore days from a conventional city-port cruise. Keep some flexibility in independent arrangements and pay attention to the operator's briefings. A remote itinerary is better assessed through the overall region and expedition purpose than through an assumption that every landing point is a guaranteed attraction visit.
Accommodation includes suites with picture windows alongside veranda categories. Decide how you expect to use the room before paying for more space: a private outdoor area, separate seating and proximity to public rooms are different priorities. Check the individual plan and accessibility information rather than applying the largest suite's layout to another category.
The published 2022 trade reference gives 156.7 metres length and 21.5 metres beam. Those dimensions describe the vessel, while its guest presentation and expedition arrangements have their own dates. The current guest-capacity headline is not converted into both a double-occupancy figure and a certified maximum. The exact passenger basis and final individual registered tonnage remain explicit research gaps.
For a practical comparison with Silver Wind, look at the chosen route, actual accommodation and expedition equipment together. Shared operator and broadly similar scale do not make the two ships interchangeable. Read the fare's included services and the departure's activity information before arranging connections. On a remote journey, useful preparation includes understanding how the day's programme is communicated and what your selected outing requires, rather than expecting ordinary independent sightseeing at every stop.

A dash means no independently verified value is available. Guest counts at double occupancy and maximum capacity are different measures. GT measures enclosed volume, not weight.
