About us MSC Seaside
MSC Seaside entered service in 2017 as the first ship of MSC Cruises' Seaside family. Fincantieri built it at Monfalcone in Italy. The design makes outdoor circulation a particular part of the experience: the Waterfront Boardwalk runs around the ship at deck eight, linking places to eat, drink and spend time outside. That arrangement deserves attention alongside the usual comparison of pools and indoor lounges.
Builder and operator references agree on 153,516 gross tonnage, a rounded overall length of 323 metres and 41 metres moulded breadth. MSC's technical inventory lists twenty total decks, fifteen for guests, and 2,026 cabins. The current operator page gives a full guest reference of 5,084 and 1,513 crew, differing from 5,334 and approximately 1,508 in the September 2024 sheet. Those different editions are documented rather than merged into a fictitious single configuration.
The glass-floor walkways and Bridge of Sighs provide distinctive viewpoints. Miami Beach Pool and South Beach Pool give different outdoor destinations, while Metropolitan Theatre offers an indoor evening setting. The technical list also identifies Haven Lounge, Bistrot La Bohème and Venchi 1878 Chocolate Bar. These names help locate the spaces a traveller might revisit instead of relying only on an overall restaurant count.
Forest Aquaventure Park, the zip line and bowling are among the operator's recreational attractions. Check participation restrictions, reservations and any additional charges for the actual sailing. The availability of an activity in a ship overview does not ensure that every person can take part or that it will operate throughout every port call and sea day.
For accommodation, inspect the exact room's outlook, beds and balcony arrangement. A private-area product and an ordinary balcony can carry different privileges even on the same deck. Trace the path to the boardwalk and regular dining places, then match that layout to the trip's expected time aboard. Seaside's outdoor emphasis is most useful as a concrete planning detail, considered together with the itinerary and fare.
