About us MSC Meraviglia
MSC Meraviglia began service in 2017 and gave its name to a new MSC ship family. The operator took delivery in May at the Saint-Nazaire yard then known as STX France. Its original introduction belongs to fleet history; the current cabin categories and entertainment listing provide a better starting point for planning a holiday than a launch announcement alone.
MSC publishes 171,598 gross tonnage and 315.83 metres overall length, with a breadth of 43 metres. The technical reference counts nineteen decks, fifteen for guests, and 2,214 cabins. The full passenger reference is 5,714, not a double-occupancy figure. The current web overview gives 1,608 crew, differing from approximately 1,536 in the October 2024 sheet; this record retains the current overview and documents the older number separately.
Galleria Meraviglia is the indoor promenade, with shops and eating places under its LED ceiling. Horizon Pool provides an outdoor alternative, while Broadway Theatre and Carousel Lounge serve different entertainment formats. The operator currently identifies Rock Circus and House of Houdini for Carousel Productions at Sea. They should not be described using the former Cirque du Soleil programme simply because that partnership appears in early promotional material.
The technical sheet also identifies Polar Aquapark and Himalayan Bridge among the recreational spaces. A useful family plan compares participation conditions and the actual daily programme alongside the ports visited. Carousel packages and other paid experiences need to be checked against the fare; a named venue does not establish that every performance or service is included.
For accommodation, distinguish a Studio Interior from a room arranged with convertible double or twin beds. Some categories have additional beds or connecting possibilities, while outlook and balcony construction vary. Compare the exact plan symbol and category description rather than relying on a generic room photograph. Then trace the route to regular meeting places and weigh the proportion of sea days. This ties Meraviglia's own spaces to the holiday you intend to take.
