About us MSC Bellissima
MSC Bellissima entered the fleet in 2019 as the second Meraviglia-family ship. Chantiers de l'Atlantique delivered it in Saint-Nazaire on 27 February. The current operator presentation highlights cruises in Japan, Taiwan and the Republic of Korea. That regional summary is useful context for a shortlist, but it does not replace the dates, embarkation port and actual calls of a particular sailing.
The checked operator sources give 171,598 gross tonnage, 315.83 metres overall length and a 43-metre breadth. October 2024 technical particulars list nineteen decks, fifteen for guests, 2,217 cabins and approximately 1,596 crew. The published full guest total is 5,654. The launch-era maximum of 5,686 and older crew figure are not silently mixed into the current reference. No double-occupancy value is inferred from the number of rooms.
Galleria Bellissima provides the ship's indoor meeting spine, with London Theatre offering a separate performance venue. The current Carousel Productions presentation names Sweet and MYÜT at Carousel Lounge. Those specific shows distinguish Bellissima from Meraviglia's advertised programme. Check the package and booking conditions because the operator describes Carousel experiences separately from the basic cruise fare.
Arizona Aquapark and Himalayan Bridge appear in the technical inventory, while Atmosphere Pool is another focal point in the ship presentation. Families can compare those outdoor options with indoor youth spaces developed with LEGO and Chicco. The useful question is how the actual programme fits the ages and interests travelling, including any requirements for participation, rather than whether the ship carries a broad family label.
Accommodation includes Studio Interior and Studio Balcony products as well as larger configurations. Additional beds vary by category; the presence of a balcony does not establish identical sleeping capacity or privileges. Examine the exact room plan and outlook, then check the walking routes to dinner and evening entertainment. Bellissima's own categories, named venues and booked itinerary together offer a more informative comparison than assuming every Meraviglia-family holiday will feel the same.
