About us EXPLORA V

EXPLORA V is a ship under construction, with its float-out completed at Fincantieri's Sestri Ponente yard on 26 October 2026. An earlier coin ceremony took place in March of the same year. These are actual industrial milestones, providing a stronger status basis than a general fleet order announcement.

The latest builder update targets delivery towards the end of 2027. That future target is kept separate from a completed build year or an established first passenger-service year. Floating out marks progress in production; it does not mean the vessel has been handed over or opened to guests.

The announced machinery concept uses LNG and provides for future alternative fuels. The current account describes V as designed to accommodate fuel-cell technology in the future. That wording differs from a claim that a fuel-cell system is already installed or operating. An announced capability to adopt technology later should not be presented as a completed environmental achievement today.

V is part of Explora Journeys' planned six-ship programme, following the first four vessels and preceding VI. The shared brand provides a comparison framework, but individual final technical records remain necessary. Room layouts, public spaces and guest capacity are not automatically copied from EXPLORA III or IV.

For prospective guests, the published voyage and its booking conditions matter alongside the construction timetable. Compare the specific suite plan, port schedule and fare inclusions. A future destination collection cannot establish the final boarding instructions or guarantee identical activities on every sailing.

This record leaves unverified completion, registry and final technical particulars open. It will need updating from the completed ship's documentation and confirmed passenger operations. Before arranging independent transport around a future departure, check the latest information for that sailing. Distinguishing actual construction progress from planned delivery helps make a comparison without suggesting the ship is already available for travel.
