EXPLORA II joined Explora Journeys in September 2024 after delivery at Fincantieri's Sestri Ponente yard in Genoa. A later operator account confirms that the ship was already welcoming guests following its September introduction. The passenger-service year is therefore distinguished from an earlier construction ceremony or a future itinerary announcement.
Its construction programme included work at Castellammare di Stabia before completion in Genoa. That production chain is more specific than assigning every Explora ship to the same Italian yard. The operator publishes a length of 248 metres and a rounded breadth of 32 metres for II. The individual US Coast Guard entry records gross tonnage of 63621, rather than the rounded figure used in promotional material.
The ship's winter 2026–2027 collection is presented as A Serene Mediterranean. The operator has announced culinary, wellness and enrichment experiences for that season. These are itinerary-linked programmes, not permanent features guaranteed on every subsequent sailing. Check the actual departure for workshops, speakers and any shore activities you particularly want to experience.
Current public spaces shown for II include Explora Lounge and Lobby Bar. They provide settings for time aboard between destinations.
