About us Carnival Venezia

Carnival Venezia began its passenger career as Costa Venezia in 2019 and transferred to Carnival Cruise Line in 2023. Fincantieri identifies the original construction at Monfalcone, Italy. The earlier name and original service year are retained here so the brand change is not mistaken for delivery of a new ship. A current Carnival holiday should nevertheless be compared using today's facilities rather than the complete product once offered by Costa.

The Carnival ship page publishes 135,225 gross tonnage. The builder's technical reference gives 323.63 metres overall length and a moulded breadth of 37.2 metres. The current operator deck-plan reference explicitly states 4,090 guests at double occupancy. Its crew figure differs from the ship page, so no single current crew total is asserted. A design-era maximum-persons total includes more than passengers and is not used as a guest limit.

Venezia's individual theme takes Venice as its starting point. Piazza San Marco is the named atrium, while Marco Polo and Canal Grande are the principal restaurant names in the ship's presentation. Gondola Lounge provides another specific social setting, with Teatro Rosso among the entertainment spaces. These details offer a tangible distinction from Firenze's Florentine setting even within a closely related design family.

Dining and drinks also include Il Viaggio, Tomodoro, Amari and Frizzante. The operator describes Mexican-Italian fusion at Tomodoro and identifies both familiar Carnival venues and ship-specific additions. Compare the exact dining conditions with your preferences instead of assuming that every venue has the same fare inclusion. A full venue list and a booking offer answer different questions.

Terrazza categories include interior rooms and cabanas as well as balcony variants. Study the exact room and terrace-access conditions, not merely the broad accommodation label. Ask how the outlook and layout fit your normal day, where the party will gather after a port visit and how much time the itinerary leaves on board. Venezia's present spaces and its clearly separated construction and transfer milestones provide a stronger comparison than judging by a single inaugural date.
