About us Carnival Sunrise
Carnival Sunrise is the former Carnival Triumph, a ship whose passenger-service history began in 1999. The Sunrise identity followed its conversion in 2019. It remains an active member of Carnival Cruise Line's fleet and is grouped in the Sunshine family. Keeping the original year and previous name visible makes it possible to understand older references without confusing a transformed ship with a newbuild.
The operator's current reference gives 101,509 gross tonnage and 2,984 guests at double occupancy. The original Fincantieri specification records 272 metres of rounded overall length and 35.5 metres of moulded breadth for the related construction series. Its old cabin inventory is not used as the converted vessel's present count. The construction yard is also kept separate from a yard involved in later refurbishment.
Sunrise's documented entertainment selection includes Playlist Productions and The Punchliner Comedy Club. Piano Bar 88 and RedFrog Pub are named gathering places, with WaterWorks providing an outdoor activity setting. These individual spaces help compare a day on board with the facilities of Sunshine or Radiance. The shared family name provides context, while the particular venue list explains the actual options to investigate.
The operator also identifies Bonsai Sushi, Cucina del Capitano and Fahrenheit 555 Steakhouse. A useful dining plan begins with the preferences of the travellers and the terms of their fare, rather than treating every named restaurant as an included service. Check current opening and reservation arrangements for the departure you intend to book.
Room categories require the same care. The operator describes both Scenic Ocean View accommodation and windowed rooms with a walkway outlook or an obstructed view. A window therefore does not automatically establish the same privacy and outlook as another outside room. Compare the exact layout, beds and location with the indoor and outdoor places you expect to use. Sunrise's present arrangement should be assessed alongside the full itinerary, preserving the distinction between its original Triumph career and the later conversion.
