About us Carnival Spirit

Carnival Spirit is the namesake of Carnival Cruise Line's Spirit family and began passenger service in 2001. It was built at the Helsinki yard in Finland under Kvaerner Masa-Yards. This is a different construction lineage from Carnival's Fincantieri-built Conquest ships. Within the present fleet, Spirit offers a useful comparison for travellers who want to examine the individual arrangement of an earlier ship generation.

The current insurer reference records 85,920 gross tonnage. The operator's current deck-plan document gives 2,134 guests at double occupancy and a rounded length of 963 feet, approximately 293.5 metres. Its commercial tonnage presentation uses a different figure, which is documented separately in the source notes. The double-occupancy reference is not recast as the maximum number of passengers who can travel.

The operator identifies a covered swimming-pool setting alongside WaterWorks and Green Thunder. Miniature golf, a jogging track and Serenity provide other outdoor choices, while the fitness centre is described across two decks. This range is worth relating to the weather and the balance of time ashore on the chosen itinerary. A covered facility can be relevant to the comparison without guaranteeing every activity will operate on every day.

Empire Restaurant, Nouveau Steakhouse and RedFrog Pub are named venues in Spirit's presentation. Guy's Burger Joint and BlueIguana Cantina also appear. These provide concrete dining and gathering points for a party whose preferences differ. Compare the selected fare's inclusions and current dining arrangements before treating every named venue as a meal already paid for.

Room selection requires an exact category rather than just a window label. The operator distinguishes interior accommodation with obstructed-view windows from ordinary ocean-view categories. Check the promised outlook, sleeping layout and the route to your preferred public spaces. Then consider how the itinerary will use the ship: extended sea time and frequent port days place different demands on the same accommodation. Spirit's own venues and the actual sailing schedule should be assessed together.
