Port reference

Salalah

Salalah provides access to Oman's Dhofar region through a working commercial harbour. The port operator lists facilities for cruise vessels alongside container and general cargo operations. A cruise call here should therefore be planned around the ship's assigned berth and the passenger route released for that visit. An address for the port authority or a cargo customer does not identify the correct place to join a cruise.

Coordinates identify the general port, not a passenger entrance. A dash means the value has not been independently verified.

The operator's map distinguishes security gates, operational buildings and cargo areas. Keep the ship's disembarkation instructions and the confirmed pickup point rather than walking towards whichever exit appears closest. A general statement that a port handles passengers does not establish unrestricted pedestrian access across its working quays. Ask the cruise desk about the available terminal-to-gate arrangements, mobility assistance and the last permitted return connection.

Salalah Airport publishes ground transport information covering taxis, rental cars and buses towards the city. Its taxi guidance identifies Raysut and the port separately from central Salalah. Give a driver the actual passenger destination and verify the agreed fare and waiting arrangements before leaving the airport. A hotel courtesy bus is a service arranged with that hotel or tour operator; it is not automatically a cruise transfer.

No operating passenger railway connection to the gangway is asserted here. For an arrival from another Omani city, confirm the transport booked and the remaining local road journey. Allow for baggage collection, the port's entry procedure and the check-in deadline, rather than treating a flight arrival time as a ship boarding time. A city bus stop alone does not define the last segment inside the harbour.

Al Baleed Archaeological Park offers a heritage visit separate from the industrial waterfront. The wider region's frankincense history is another reason to explore beyond the quay, with a suitable return plan. Dhofar's khareef weather is seasonal, so waterfalls and lush inland scenery should not be promised for every cruise month. Check conditions for the actual visit and select an excursion that fits the ship's time ashore.

Current repeated assignments among this directory's cruise brands have not been independently reconfirmed. A historical destination page or one vessel movement is not used as a regular service claim.
