Port reference

Dubai

Dubai has more than one cruise-passenger location. Mina Rashid, also called Port Rashid, includes the Hamdan bin Mohammed Cruise Terminal, while Dubai Harbour is a different waterfront development with its own cruise facility. The two names should not be used interchangeably when booking a hotel, airport transfer or passenger pick-up.

Coordinates identify the general port, not a passenger entrance. A dash means the value has not been independently verified.

DP World identifies Mina Rashid as a cruise and maritime hub. Emirates separately identifies Port Rashid Terminal3 and Dubai Harbour in its cruise-flight check-in information. That distinction helps establish which location your documents refer to, but an airline service description does not confirm that a particular ship is sailing on your chosen date.

Current deployment needs especially careful checking. MSC announced on30 March2026 that MSC World Europa would operate from the French Antilles during winter2026/27 instead of its previously planned Middle East programme. Older brochures and partnership announcements therefore cannot establish current Dubai departures. This profile leaves regular cruise-line assignments unconfirmed rather than treating a historic association as a verified winter sailing schedule.

Dubai International Airport, codedDXB, and Al Maktoum International Airport, codedDWC, are separate arrival points. Dubai Airports describes metroRed Line access at DXB Terminals1 and3. This is an urban rail connection, not a service into either cruise terminal. DWC needs its own transport plan and must not inherit the airport-terminal metro advice for DXB.

For either cruise location, arrange the final road connection or an explicitly confirmed cruise transfer using the passenger-terminal name in your current documents. Match the pick-up point, luggage and boarding window to that location. A marina entrance, leisure waterfront or cargo gate is not automatically the intended cruise-passenger meeting place.

Mina Rashid's side of the city can be combined with the Al Fahidi district and Dubai Creek, while Dubai Harbour lies in a different coastal setting near Palm Jumeirah. These are separate sightseeing plans, not attractions beside every berth. Choose visits only after the actual sailing and transfer are confirmed. The coordinate is the general UNECE Dubai location reference, not the entrance to Port Rashid or Dubai Harbour and not a navigational instruction through port roads.

Terminals and landing places

Cruise Terminal 3, Mina Rashid, Dubai

Port Rashid passenger location; distinct from Dubai Harbour.

Dubai Harbour Cruise Terminal

Dubai Harbour, Dubai

Separate coastal cruise facility; confirm the actual terminal and passenger entrance.

Getting there

Airport connections

Confirm whether your flight uses DXB or DWC. DXB metroRed Line access at Terminals1/3 still needs a final port transfer; DWC requires a separate route.

Rail connections

Use metro only as a verified city segment, not a cruise-terminal train. Check the current Dubai Airports and RTA route information and add the confirmed passenger entrance transfer.

Local transport and final connection

Book transport with Mina Rashid/Port Rashid or Dubai Harbour explicitly named. Verify that the sailing operates before arranging terminal pick-up or sightseeing.

Cruise lines with documented programmes

Connections reflect published programmes, not a guarantee for a particular sailing. Pending and future calls can change.

No current recurring cruise-line programme has been independently verified. This does not mean the port has no cruise calls.

Approximate straight-line distances between general port coordinates, not road or sailing routes. Proximity does not imply an available connection.
