About us Silver Whisper

Silver Whisper entered passenger service in July 2001. It shares Silversea's Shadow Class with Silver Shadow, but has its own permanent IMO number, 9192179. The current operator inventory records 28,258 gross tonnage and 302 crew. Its most recently listed refurbishment is 2024, a different date from Shadow's 2019 programme.

Whisper has an established identity in longer ocean journeys and a changing selection of regional itineraries. A concrete future example is the published Papeete round trip of 21 November to 2 December 2027. That departure links several French Polynesian island groups. It is an advertised future itinerary, rather than proof of a permanent homeport or a completed journey at today's research date.

For a Pacific cruise, compare the gateway and the actual places visited before choosing the ship by a general destination label. An archipelago name can cover widely separated islands, and time in one place differs from simply seeing its name in an overview. Independent transport and accommodation should fit your confirmed departure's embarkation and arrival arrangements.

Suite choices range across different layouts and types of sea view. Evaluate the actual room plan and position instead of transferring a premium suite's space and benefits to another category. Consider how much time you expect to spend inside between port calls. A larger room and a private outdoor area solve different preferences and should be weighed separately.

The current ship page describes four dining options. Their presence does not by itself establish that every sitting, tasting experience or extra service is included on identical terms. Read the fare and venue conditions alongside the cruise programme. The broader Silversea offer provides context, while the booked accommodation and departure specify the practical details.

A published technical reference gives 186 metres length and 24.9 metres width. Historic lower-berth figures differ from today's capacity headline, so the passenger basis remains unresolved rather than inferred from a suite count. Generic speed and guest deck labels are likewise not promoted to maximum speed or all physical decks. When comparing Whisper with Shadow, use their separately dated refurbishments and actual routes rather than assuming a shared class gives them the same current product.
