About us MSC Grandiosa
MSC Grandiosa joined the fleet in 2019 as the first Meraviglia-Plus vessel. Chantiers de l'Atlantique delivered it in Saint-Nazaire on 31 October. The longer design develops the earlier Meraviglia platform, but its additional length and individual public spaces deserve their own comparison. It is not a new name for either of the two earlier ships.
The current operator and October 2024 technical sheet agree on 181,541 gross tonnage, 331.43 metres overall length and 43 metres breadth. They list 2,421 cabins, 1,704 crew and a full guest reference of 6,334. Nineteen total decks include fifteen for guests. Published maximum-speed values differ between operator references, so that optional field is left open instead of selecting a convenient number for a ranking.
Galleria Grandiosa is the indoor promenade and an important point for dining, shopping and evening gatherings. L'Atelier Bistrot gives the restaurant selection a particular identity, while Théâtre La Comédie provides the main theatre setting. The technical inventory separately identifies The Art Wall, Safari Pool and Wild Forest Aquapark, allowing a shortlist to reflect art, indoor time and outdoor recreation rather than a single broad entertainment label.
The current Carousel Productions offer names Sweet and Strings in Carousel Lounge. This differs from the original Cirque du Soleil marketing at launch. Check the current reservation package and any extra charge for the performance you actually want. A ship's historical partnership does not establish today's show title or inclusion in the fare.
For accommodation, compare outlook and the actual bed arrangement before deciding on a deck. A partial-view balcony category should not be read as an unrestricted sea view, and Yacht Club access belongs to the booked product. Follow the routes to your regular dinner and meeting places, then relate that layout to the number of days aboard. Grandiosa's particular spaces and the itinerary together give a more useful choice than tonnage or service year alone.
