About us Marella Voyager

Marella Voyager is the former Mercury built by Meyer Werft in 1997. The yard records original commissioning in that year and places Mercury alongside Galaxy in the Century series. Both were longer than the original Century. Voyager is a later identity for this existing hull, rather than a ship newly built when the Marella programme began.

Subsequent names included Celebrity Mercury, the original Mein Schiff 2 and Mein Schiff Herz. TUI's retrospective reporting confirms arrival as Marella Voyager in June 2023. The original Mein Schiff 2 should be distinguished from the newer ship using that name today. IMO 9106302 connects Voyager with its own history through those changes.

Current published facts give a length of approximately 264 metres, gross tonnage of 77302 and Malta registry. The builder identifies a moulded breadth of 32.2 metres, rather than an assumed maximum width of every overhanging structure. The present operator lists 956 cabins. These current accommodation figures should be kept separate from the original Mercury inventory.

The 2023 conversion included a new food-hall concept and galley equipment work. ALMACO confirms its project was completed at Navantia in Cádiz on 24 May 2023. This predates the first Marella-branded passenger departure in June. It is an example of completed conversion work, rather than a future feature inferred from an early announcement.

Voyager is presented as family-friendly. Its facilities include an indoor cinema, pool deck with whirlpools, a show lounge and minigolf. The Veranda provides a setting for sea views between destinations. The broad choice of food and entertainment should be compared with how much time a particular itinerary leaves aboard.

Cabin categories offer different indoor and outdoor arrangements. Some larger-balcony cabins have specific exceptions to their advertised furnishings, making the actual cabin number useful when comparing rooms. Read dining and activity conditions alongside the booking rather than assuming every optional experience is included. Plan flights, embarkation and port visits together, using the confirmed sailing information. The ship's original Century-family design supplies context, while current Marella venues, accommodation and itinerary shape the holiday.
