About us Disney Wonder
Disney Wonder joined the fleet with its maiden voyage on 15 August 1999, a year after Magic opened the company's passenger operation. It was built by Fincantieri at Marghera in Italy. The California state vessel database identifies IMO 9126819 against its individual name. The brand's Bahamas flag reference is retained separately from the US location of its commercial business.
Art Nouveau details distinguish Wonder's interior identity. Tiana's Place brings Louisiana-inspired food and jazz into a restaurant based on The Princess and the Frog. Triton's uses an underwater setting linked to The Little Mermaid, while Animator's Palate connects dinner with animation. These venues make the restaurant rotation a practical way to experience different settings during one sailing.
The ship's latest documented yard visit was completed shortly before Disney's 30 September 2026 report. The operator records more than one hundred projects over fourteen days, with extensive new carpet and a new hull coating. Edge also received a refreshed arrangement for tweens. This is evidence of completed 2026 work, rather than a future refit announcement. It does not imply that every room or every technical system was completely rebuilt.
Wonder's published autumn 2026 programme places it in San Diego, with three- to seven-night departures continuing into spring 2027. The actual sailing determines which Mexican or Californian calls are included. These dated deployment details should not be replaced by older Australian itineraries simply because a past brochure remains searchable.
The current operator fleet sheet lists 875 staterooms, while Fincantieri's original technical reference lists 880. Those different dates and inventories need reconciliation before a definitive current cabin total is published. Original machinery specifications also do not independently prove the complete present propulsion arrangement after later work. Current maximum guest capacity, crew and physical deck totals remain unresolved where the sources do not establish the required basis.
English-language activities and US-dollar onboard pricing apply to the advertised product. Adults can book Palo separately, and families should compare room layout with the needs of their travelling party. Choose Wonder by its actual facilities, departure and dining arrangements, keeping original design history separate from confirmed current services.
