Disney Adventure is Disney Cruise Line's first ship operating from Singapore and its eighth active vessel. The maiden voyage took place on 10 March 2026. Its permanent IMO number is 9808986, matched in California's current vessel database. The operator's own construction diary dates legal handover at Bremerhaven to 13 December 2025; the announcement published three days later should not replace the event date.
The project has a different origin from the Papenburg-built Wish Class. Meyer announced in November 2022 that it would complete the already unfinished vessel at the former MV Werften site in Wismar. That redevelopment explains why it should not inherit Wish's dimensions, machinery or accommodation count simply because both now carry Disney names. The earlier construction identity and the delivered commercial product require separate historical treatment.
Seven themed areas organise the guest experience. Disney Imagination Garden supplies a central outdoor setting, while other areas draw on Disney, Pixar and Marvel stories. The current entertainment page presents Avengers Assemble alongside theatrical performances and character encounters. Attractions are specific to this ship; they are not evidence that every Disney cruise carries the same roller-coaster or show programme.
The introductory Singapore product emphasised three- and four-night voyages, with the ship itself a major part of the holiday. The actual itinerary remains essential when planning shore time: a general image of Southeast Asian destinations does not guarantee a port call on a particular short sailing. Consult the departure rather than assuming the routing of another Disney market.
English is the main language for activities, menus and shows. The operator specifically confirms US-dollar onboard pricing, even though Singapore dollars may be exchanged for payment. Multilingual crew assistance does not constitute a fully translated entertainment programme. Adult-space arrangements also differ from the familiar fleet model; the general Quiet Cove Pool description expressly excludes Adventure.
The original conversion announcement proposed methanol-related machinery work, but it does not independently establish the delivered fuel configuration. Current propulsion, certified individual tonnage, exact cabin inventory and maximum passenger capacity remain unresolved where conflicting project figures or approximate marketing totals are insufficient. Compare the specific room, programme and included services, keeping the completed 2025 construction separate from passenger service beginning in 2026.
