Carnival Horizon entered service in 2018 as the second member of Carnival Cruise Line's Vista family. Fincantieri identifies Marghera in Italy as the construction yard. The close relationship with Carnival Vista is useful for an initial comparison, but Horizon's own dining and entertainment inventory remains necessary. A familiar class name does not replace checking the vessel that will actually operate the holiday.

The builder's technical table gives 133,596 gross tonnage, 323.4 metres overall length and a moulded breadth of 37.2 metres.
