About us Carnival Dream
Carnival Dream entered service in 2009 and gives its name to the Dream family, followed by Carnival Magic and Carnival Breeze. Fincantieri's reference describes an emphasis on connecting public rooms with outdoor space. For travellers, that makes the circulation around the vessel a useful part of comparison alongside the more obvious restaurant and entertainment lists.
The operator publishes a reference size of 130,000 gross tonnage and 3,646 guests at double occupancy. The builder's technical table gives an overall length of 305.6 metres and a moulded breadth of 37.2 metres. Its original technical tonnage differs from the rounded current operator presentation; those source conventions are documented rather than averaged into a new figure. A maximum-persons total including crew is not treated as maximum guest capacity.
The outdoor promenade on Deck 5 is a notable feature in the builder's description. A traveller who wants to alternate time inside and outside can inspect the exact access points and cabin position on the plan. The existence of a promenade does not make every room equivalent: compare outlook and the relationship between the room and the public routes rather than choosing solely by cabin category name.
Carnival identifies Ocean Plaza, Alchemy Bar, RedFrog Rum Bar and BlueIguana Tequila Bar among the ship's gathering places. Dining options include Bonsai Sushi, Guy's Burger Joint and BlueIguana Cantina. WaterWorks and Cloud 9 Spa provide quite different uses for leisure time. The presence of a spa feature should be checked against access conditions and the chosen accommodation product before assuming that every service is included.
Dream's specific combination is best evaluated against the actual itinerary. A route with several sea days places more weight on places you will revisit throughout the day; a destination-heavy schedule may change those priorities. Compare the preferred room, walking routes and named venues together. The ship's service year helps place it in fleet history, while its present arrangement explains how it may fit a holiday now.
